Bryan Barlow
Security Director
Bryan Barlow, Security Director for Denali Universal Services (DUS), provides executive‑level security leadership, firearms instructor training, operational oversight, and risk management support across Alaska operations. An Alaskan, and former United States Marine, he brings more than 26 years of senior public safety and law enforcement leadership experience, with a career defined by complex organizational command, strategic planning, and mission‑critical operations in high‑risk environments.
Prior to joining DUS, Mr. Barlow held multiple executive roles with the Alaska Department of Public Safety, including Deputy Commissioner, Director of the Alaska State Troopers, and Director of the Alaska Wildlife Troopers. In these roles, he was responsible for statewide operations, personnel and labor management, policy development, aviation and marine operations, the Alaska DPS training academy and internal affairs. His leadership included oversight of professional standards, recruitment, advanced training, and critical incident response.
Mr. Barlow studied within the University of Alaska Criminal Justice Program and is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute and the University of Louisville Administrative Officers Course. He has served as an instructor in firearms, less‑lethal systems, ethics, and was statewide coordinator for Alaska DPS crisis negotiations. Mr. Barlow is widely recognized for his disciplined and thoughtful leadership style, with emphasis on safety, employee wellbeing, and commitment to operational excellence.
