Security Director

Allen “Al” Storey draws upon over 45 years of experience in various security-related roles to inform his work as the Security Director for PetroChemical Operations at Denali Universal Services. In this capacity, he is the contract manager for several significant PetroChemical and MTSA facilities, such as the ConocoPhillips North Slope Operation in Alaska and refineries in Washington State. His responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments and acting as a liaison with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure that DUS Security teams fulfill all regulatory and client requirements. Al’s leadership extends to the development and supervision of security managers, supervisors, and the entire leadership team, as well as the direct oversight of security officer training programs.

Al’s career began with nine years of active service in the United States Air Force as a Radio Communications Intercept Analyst, followed by over 25 years in the Alaska Air National Guard, where he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His tenure with the Alaska State Troopers, where he held various roles culminating in the Director’s Staff as a Captain, provided him with a diverse set of skills and in-depth knowledge of public safety and security. Al’s extensive background is complemented by his education through the Alaska State Trooper Academy, the Senior and Non-Commissioned Officer Academies, and various technical and leadership courses.

Al’s professional qualifications are further evidenced by his multiple certifications, including an Advanced Police Officer Certification from the State of Alaska and licensure as a Security Guard and Firearms Instructor. His skills as an investigator, interviewer, and interrogator highlight his multifaceted expertise. Al’s commitment to security and public safety is not just a professional mandate but a personal one, as seen in his long-standing service and his approach to comprehensive security management in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
