Denali Universal Services awarded Women’s Business Enterprise Certification

Denali Universal Services (DUS), a leading provider of integrated security services, and remote camp support, is proud to announce its certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

This certification affirms that DUS is a woman-owned and woman-led organization, reflecting its ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and opportunity. WBENC is the nation’s largest and most respected third-party certifier of women-owned businesses, known for its rigorous standards in verifying ownership and executive leadership.

DUS became a woman-owned company in 2024 when Maria Bourne assumed majority ownership and the role of Owner, President & Chief Executive Officer. Under her leadership, DUS has strengthened its focus on workforce development, operational excellence, safety, and community engagement—core elements of the DUS legacy for more than three decades.

A defining strength of DUS is its leadership team: many of its executive leaders are women, bringing expertise across security, facility operations, human resources, finance, and strategic growth. This structure highlights DUS’s commitment to elevating women in senior roles across traditionally male-dominated industries.

“We are honored to receive the WBE certification and to stand among the nation’s leading women-owned businesses,” said Maria Bourne, Owner & CEO. “This achievement reflects our commitment to creating opportunity—for women and for the industries we serve. It enables us to build new partnerships and continue delivering the high-quality services our clients expect.”
